The PTA Exec Board election will take place during June’s PTA meeting on Thursday, June 11 at 7:30pm via Zoom.

We have an urgent update about our afterschool program. Through a recent DYCD funding process, Manhattan Youth was not awarded the afterschool contract for The Computer School. 

While Anderson will keep Manhattan Youth, this decision directly threatens our program too — including the school musical — because our two programs collaborate closely to share instructors, coaches, space, and resources.

Manhattan Youth is appealing, and parent voices matter. Please take one or both of the following actions: 

📅 Attend the CEC D3 Meeting on Tuesday, May 19th at Anderson at 6:30pm to voice your concerns in person.

This year’s Group NYSSMA competition was another wonderful success for Anderson with 3 Golds and a Silver. All the months of hard work paid off.

Congratulations to all the grade bands! A BIG thank you to the teachers, Principal Harris, and chaperones for all their hard work on a long day trekking across the city with heavy instruments on the subway. This marks the first time that Anderson's 5th grade participated in this competition. 

A massive congratulations and thanks to Ms. Brincks for her inspiration and passion and long may she be at Anderson. We are also so grateful to dedicated 2nd grade parent volunteer, Barry Banks, for supporting the music program and being there that day for all the instrument troubleshooting.
