Purpose of Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to conduct the annual elections for the Parents’ Association Executive Board and the Parent Representative for the School Leadership Team (SLT). All parents and guardians of currently enrolled students are eligible to vote. The only qualification for all offices is that the candidate be a parent/guardian of a currently enrolled student. (Please note that a parent/guardian may not serve on the Board or SLT in the school in which they are employed.)

Longtime Anderson Artist-in-Residence Mr. Robert has been working with Anderson elementary students for over a decade.

His Project Intercambio connects students at The Anderson School with youth from Mr. Robert’s nonprofit organization Arte Fogata in La Paz, Bolivia through collaborative art making. By creating and exchanging artwork, students build meaningful connections, explore Bolivian culture, and share life in New York City. The project also enriches Spanish language learning and fosters curiosity, empathy, and global understanding.

Mr. Robert's Arte Fogata work in the summers in Bolivia creates a space where students explore creativity, build confidence, share their experiences, and connect with the wider world through art and curiosity.

Starting this fall, he hopes to collaborate with Anderson school leadership to create an expanded schedule that best supports students, including the possibility of a lunchtime club with middle school students.
